10 Years a Federal Target

In 2012, federal investigators started asking questions about Todd and Julie Chrisley. When their lawyer asked if they were targets, the answer was “not at this time.” This episode is about the 10 years that followed.

Alex and Amy sit down with the Chrisleys to walk through the whole arc: the warehouse search that happened while cameras were rolling, the lawyers they wish they had questioned harder, the decisions they made because they believed innocent people had nothing to worry about, and what it took to tell their kids.

The case, briefly: the Chrisleys were indicted in Atlanta in 2019 on bank fraud and tax charges, convicted at trial in 2022, and sentenced to a combined 19 years. They served about 2 years before receiving full presidential pardons in May 2025.
